In addition to my roles as husband, father, and friend, I am a Contemplative Spiritual Director, an author, and a singer-songwriter.
I studied contemplative spirituality as a member of the 2019 Cohort of the Center for Action and Contemplation’s Living School (www.cac.org), learning Contemplative Spirituality and other mystical, wisdom traditions with Fr. Richard Rohr, James Finley, Cynthia Bourgeault, and others.
I am certified in Spiritual Direction by the Shalem Institute’s certification program in Spiritual Guidance (www.Shalem.org). I offer contemplative spiritual direction/guidance to spiritual seekers in need of someone to companion them on their journey.
In addition, I am a leader of blended worship at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Lawrence, Kansas. We gather to sing, pray, learn, fellowship, and praise every Sunday at 9:30 AM. Funny to read Rod Zinn’s comment above. Here I am almost exactly a year later to say almost exactly the same thing, although my personal details are different. I look forward to your notes, which I get via email. You do a wonderful job of making points in a way that I can understand and identify with and that leave me feeling thought-filled but not judged.
